*
Immigration Department

The Immigration Department is seeking more information on a nightclub fire that occurred on New Year's Eve in Bangkok, reportedly killing dozens of people.

The department has contacted the Office of the Commissioner of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong and the Chinese Embassy in Thailand on the matter. It has not received any requests for help from local residents so far.

Any Hong Kong residents who need assistance when travelling overseas can call its 24-hour hotline, (852)1868.
