The Immigration Department will issue "WX" prefix identity cards for foreign domestic helpers and imported workers under the Supplementary Labour Scheme from January 2.

All foreign domestic helpers and imported workers under the scheme are currently given identity cards with a "W" prefix. As the "W" prefix identity card numbers have almost run out, the department will start issuing "WX" prefix identity cards.

The 'W' or 'WX' prefix identity cards will help employers identify foreign domestic helpers' and imported workers' employment status.
