An elderly couple died early this morning in a suspected murder-suicide case in Kwai Chung.

At 1.20am, a woman called the police saying her 67-year-old father was hanging inside the bathroom and her 70-year-old mother lying unconscious on the bed in their home in Hiu Kwai House, Kwai Chung Estate.

The wife died at 1.36am and the husband at 1.41am at Yan Chai Hospital.

Post mortem examinations will be conducted to ascertain the cause of death.
