Police have charged a 37-year-old man after a failed murder-suicide attempt involving his nine-year-old son.

He tried to kill himself and the boy by burning charcoal in their flat in Chui Ping North Estate, Kwun Tong, early yesterday morning.

He will appear in Kowloon Tong Magistracy tomorrow to face a charge of attempted murder.
