Police seize suspected "ice" worth $1.6 million
Valuable haul: The suspected "ice" seized weighed about 3 kg and is worth about $1.6 million.
*

Police have arrested two women, aged 30 and 29, at Hong Kong International Airport and seized suspected "ice" - or methamphetamine - worth about $1.6m.

Both women will be charged with one count of trafficking in dangerous drugs and they will appear at Tsuen Wan Magistrates' Courts on December 1.

They were stopped at the departure hall as they were about to fly to Japan this morning. The packets of suspected ice were found concealed around their thighs.

The seized drugs weighed about 3kg and could be sold for about $16 million in Japan.
