A woman has admitted teaching two drug traffickers how to manufacture "ice".
Wong Yin-chun, 45, pleaded guilty to doing an act preparatory to the offence of manufacturing a dangerous drug, and dealing with property known or believed to represent proceeds of an indictable offence, in the District Court today. Sentencing was adjourned to December 2 and she was remanded in custody. Two similar drug-related charges against her were ordered to be left on court file.
She admitted she came to know a suspected drug trafficker manufacturing ice in early 2007. She accompanied him to Vietnam and Laos to examine the drug, and taught him how to manufacture it. She accepted $10,000 from him as a reward for the Laos trip.
She also admitted teaching another person, who allegedly planned to manufacture ice in South Africa, similar knowledge. She was arrested January 17.
