Police have arrested 56 people in a 17-day crackdown on illegal road racing activities.

The blitz, which coincided with the Macau Grand Prix in mid-November, concluded yesterday.

Police detained 69 vehicles for examination and issued 360 summonses and 6,376 fixed penalty tickets.

Police will not tolerate illegal road racing in Hong Kong and will continue to carry out similar crackdowns by collecting intelligence and strategic planning.
