The Hong Kong Government has no plan to embark on Basic Law Article 23 legislative work, the Government says, adding its most pressing commitments are to tackle economic and people's livelihood issues.
In considering an Article 23 legislative exercise in future, the Government will communicate with all sectors of the community, to secure understanding and consensus on future legislative proposals.
The Macau Government has just put forward a draft bill to legislate its Basic Law Article 23 for public consultation.
