Reform supporter: Commissioner of Correctional Services Kwok Leung-ming appoints Leo Ku Rehabilitation Ambassador 2008.

*

A new six-episode television documentary-drama series on rehabilitated offenders, Road Back V, will air on TVB-Jade at 7pm tomorrow for six consecutive Tuesdays.

Jointly presented by the Correctional Services Department and Radio Television Hong Kong the series lets offenders tell people how they rehabilitate and learn from mistakes with correctional officers' help, and reintegrate into community becoming law-abiding citizens.

Launching the series today Commissioner of Correctional Services Kwok Leung-ming said the success of offender reintegration hinges on their determination and support from friends, relatives, colleagues and the public.

The department will produce a DVD of the series for teachers and social workers to help prevent juvenile delinquency through enhancing young people's insight into the consequences of crime and to promote the message of giving help and support to rehabilitated offenders.

Meanwhile, entertainer Leo Ku was appointed Rehabilitation Ambassador 2008 today.
