5 arrested for police uniform sales

*
ICAC

Independent Commission Against Corruption officers have arrested five people for bribery in relation to the theft and unauthorised sale of police uniforms and furniture. They include a police constable and supplies assistant, a Hospital Authority staff member, a private company driver and a movie props supplier.

Officers believe hospital staff offered advantages to the two police staff to get the uniforms and then allegedly sold them for profit.

The driver is suspected to have claimed to be a policeman and sold a police helmet he got from another source to the hospital staff.

The supplies assistant allegedly allowed the movie props supplier to remove a batch of furniture from a police station without authorisation.
