Fake watch syndicate shut down
*
Customs & Excise Department

Customs officers have arrested three men and a woman aged 31 to 52, shutting down their counterfeit watch supply syndicate.

The three-day operation saw raids on a storage centre and two assembly workshops, and the seizure of 72,000 counterfeit watches worth $14.5 million.

Acting on intelligence, officers searched five premises in Kwun Tong and Yuen Long and shut down the assembly workshops where watch parts and assembling equipment were seized.

The watches were mainly for overseas markets, mailed in small parcels to foreign customers.
