Crime fighters: Commissioner of Police Tang King-shing and Hang Seng Bank Managing Director and Deputy Chief Executive Joseph Poon officiate at the Help the Police Fight Youth Crime Competition 2008 presentation ceremony.

Nineteen fight crime ambassadors will visit Australia July 22 to 29. They will call on police departments, schools and youth organisations in Sydney and Melbourne.

They are winners of the Hang Seng Bank - Help the Police Fight Youth Crime Competition 2008. Fifteen are from the secondary school and post secondary school categories, and four are the champion group of the newly added youth service agency category.

They joined five winners of the primary school category to receive their awards and scholarships at a ceremony today.

Commissioner of Police Tang King-shing congratulated the winners and wished them a fruitful trip to Australia. He also reminded them of the responsibility of being a fight crime ambassador.

"As you are enjoying the harvest of your efforts today, you are also shouldering a great responsibility. Being fight crime ambassadors, you can contribute to the fight against youth crime. You can set good examples for your peers and help enhance their alertness to drugs and crime," Mr Tang said.
