The United Nations Sanctions (Democratic Republic of the Congo) (No.2) Regulation 2008 has come into effect, prohibiting the supply, delivery and carriage of arms and related materials to the country.

Other sanctions include prohibiting military assistance, advice or training; prohibiting financial assets or economic resources; and, prohibiting the entry into or transit through Hong Kong of certain people.
