Police will hold an anti-drink driving campaign May 9 to 12. Officers will invite people in bar areas to take voluntary breath tests, and they will distribute publicity leaflets at cross-harbour tunnel tollbooths, petrol stations and car parks.

There were 4,662 traffic accidents in the first four months of the year, down 259 cases on the same period last year. Eighteen involved drink driving.
