Man arrested for dangerous driving

Police have arrested a 22-year-old driver in connection with an accident in which a 58-year-old woman died after being hit by his van in Western.

 

Shortly before 6am, the man was driving along Pok Fu Lam Road westbound. Just outside Pok Fu Lam Village, his van reportedly struck the woman as she crossed the road.

 

She was sent to Queen Mary Hospital and was certified dead at 6.19am. The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death.

 

Anyone who saw the accident should call Police at 3106 8800 or 3106 8848.
