The Commerce & Economic Development Bureau says there is room for improvement in the Hong Kong Tourism Board's corporate governance.

Regarding the provision of the executive medical plan, the bureau said the exact terms of the employment contract did not provide for an executive medical plan, which was not approved by the Financial Secretary.

The Tourism Commission has referred the information to law-enforcement agencies to consider taking follow-up action. It is also studying recommendations of the Legislative Council's Public Accounts Committee.
