Senior killed in Yau Ma Tei accident

Police are investigating a Yau Ma Tei traffic accident in which an 87-year-old man was killed.

 

A 44-year-old man was driving his van south along Ferry Street at 1.30pm today. The van reportedly hit the senior near the junction with Saigon Street.

 

He was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he was certified dead at 1.45pm.

 

The driver was arrested and charged with dangerous driving causing death. He will appear at Kwun Tong Magistracy tomorrow.
