Russia and Hong Kong will benefit by working closely in law enforcement areas of mutual concern, Secretary for Security Ambrose Lee says, adding there is cope for closer ties.

 

Speaking after meeting his Russian counterparts yesterday, Mr Lee reaffirmed the need for Russia and Hong Kong to work out ways to facilitate travel convenience.

 

"Both Russian and Hong Kong authorities agree that greater travel convenience for people from both places will enhance the economic, social and cultural ties between Russia and Hong Kong," he said.

 

Mr Lee will return to Hong Kong November 18.
