Man arrested for dangerous driving

Police are probing a Sau Mau Ping traffic accident in which a female motorcycle passenger was killed. A van driver has been arrested for dangerous driving causing death.

 

The van collided with the motorcycle travelling along Kwun Tong Road westbound near Hong Tak Road shortly before 10am today. A 40-year-old motorcyclist was injured and his 40-year-old female passenger died.

 

The 57-year-old van driver left the scene and was later located by Police on Tsueng Kwan O Road near Tsueng Kwan O Tunnel. He was arrested for dangerous driving causing death, and failing to report an accident and stop after an accident.

 

Investigations by Kowloon East Traffic Special Investigation Team are underway. People who have information to offer should call 2305 7572 or 2305 7500.
