Man dies in North Point accident
*

Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a man was killed in North Point. Anyone who has any information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers on 3106 8838.

 

The man, who was pushing a trolley, was reportedly hit by a light goods vehicle on Victoria Park Road outside Victoria Park at about 6pm.

 

He was taken to Ruttonjee Hospital where he was certified dead at 6.38pm.

 

Police did not find any identity document on him. Aged about 60 to 70, he is about 1.6 metres tall, of medium build and short grey hair. He was wearing a grey shirt and dark grey trousers when the incident occurred.

 

The driver was subsequently arrested for dangerous driving causing death. He was released on Police bail pending further enquiries.
