Hong Kong Police

Police are probing a Chai Wan traffic accident which killed a woman and injured two men.

About 4.40pm yesterday, a private car hit a motorcycle at the junction of Tai Tam Road and Chai Wan Road. The 24-year-old male motorcyclist and a 26-year-old female passenger fell to the ground.

The private car then rammed the railings and hit a 44-year-old male pedestrian who was crossing the road. The private car driver and his two passengers left the scene.

The three injured were taken to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital where the woman was certified dead.

Investigations by Hong Kong Island Traffic Special Investigation Team are underway. People who have information to offer should call 3106 8838 or 3106 8800.
