Man dies in Lok Ma Chau accident
*
Hong Kong Police

A 50-year-old man was killed in a Lok Ma Chau traffic accident this morning.

Around 7.05am, Police received a report that a private car reportedly hit the central divider on the Yuen Long-bound San Tin highway near San Tin interchange. It then slammed into a police platform, fell into a nearby river bank and caught fire.

Police and firefighters arrived at the scene. After the fire was extinguished, a charred body was found inside the car. It was believed to be that of the 50-year-old private car driver.

Anyone who saw the accident or has any information is asked to call the New Territories North special traffic investigation team on 2675 3325 or 2455 4210.
