Police have charged two men and three women jointly with one count of conspiracy to defraud.

Aged 33 to 38, the suspects were arrested after they persuaded a 60-year-old woman to hand over her cash and valuables for spiritual blessing at South Horizons in Aberdeen on July 19.

Police later received a report made by the victim's husband and arrested the fraudsters at the scene. The victim suffered no loss.
