Anti-drug partners: Guangdong Provincial Narcotics Control Commission Chief Executive Officer Chen Shaobo receives a souvenir from Secretary for Security Ambrose Lee at the Guangdong, Hong Kong & Macau Tripartite Anti-drug Activity.

Close co-operation between different regions is vital in the anti-drug battle that has no boundaries, Secretary for Security Ambrose Lee says.

Speaking at the opening of a sharing session on the Guangdong, Hong Kong & Macau Tripartite Anti-drug Activity today, Mr Lee said with the concerted efforts of all parties concerned, positive results can be anticipated.

"Today's experience-sharing session gives us a good opportunity to exchange our experiences with each other. We will be able to tackle the problem of drug abuse and save our young people from the scourge of drugs," Mr Lee said.

In the one-day session, Guangdong Provincial Narcotics Control Commission Chief Executive Officer Chen Shaobo, Macau Social Welfare Institute President Ip Peng Kin and Commissioner for Narcotics Sally Wong briefed more than 100 anti-drug workers from the three jurisdictions on the latest drug situation and anti-drug work.
