The Judiciary has appointed Au Hing-cheung as a District Court Judge from July 3.

Mr Au was born in Hong Kong in 1963. He obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Hong Kong in 1996, a Bachelor of Civil Law Degree from the University of Oxford in 1997 and a Postgraduate Certificate in Laws from the University of Hong Kong in 1998.

He was called to the Bar in Hong Kong in 1998 and has been in private practice since 1999.
