Woman dies in Sha Tin accident

A 54-year-old woman was struck and killed by a taxi today outside the Sha Tin racetrack. Anyone who saw the accident is urged to contact Police on 3661 1345 or 3661 1348.

 

At about 11.43am, a 59-year-old was driving his taxi in the first lane northbound underneath the retractable paddock roof at the Sha Tin racecourse. The taxi reportedly struck the woman as she crossed the road from the left.

 

She was sent to the Prince of Wales Hospitalwhere she was certified dead at 12.09pm.
