Smart ID card centres to close
*
Immigration Department

All Smart Identity Card Centres will be closed from May 19, the Immigration Department says.

People who have not yet collected their new identity cards can get them at a designated Registration of Persons Office from May 21. Click here for details.

People who missed their specified call-up periods and have not replaced their old identity cards should apply at any of the Registration of Persons Offices as soon as possible.

Those born in 1989 or 1996 should apply for smart identity cards when they attain the age of 18 or 11.

People who could not replace their identity cards during the specified call-up periods due to their absence from Hong Kong, should apply within 30 days of their return.

For more information visit the Smart ID Card website, or call 2824 6111.
