22 arrested in anti-illegal work raids

Thirteen illegal workers and nine employers have been arrested in anti-illegal employment operations.

 

Labour and Police officers raided 47 places in Kwun Tong, San Po Kong, Mong Kok, Lai Chi Kok, Kwai Chung, Tsuen Wan, Fanling and Sheung Shui in the past three days.

 

Among the illegal workers arrested, seven worked as sales assistants in retail shops while the rest worked in eateries. Eleven were Mainlanders holding valid two-way permits, one was an overstayer and one was unable to provide identity proof.
