A Mainland woman involved in bogus marriage has been jailed eight months by Sha Tin Magistracy.

Han Fudie, 24, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to defraud. She admitted she had been pregnant and wanted to have her baby delivered in Hong Kong. The baby's natural father was a Mainland resident.

Han agreed with a middleman to enter into a bogus marriage with a Hong Kong resident for 16,000 renminbi, to get a 90-day visa to enter Hong Kong.

She married her bogus husband on the Mainland last October. She then made visits to Hong Kong after the 'marriage' and gave birth in February.
