Info sought on traffic mishap

Hong Kong Police

Police are investigating a Cheung Sha Wan traffic accident last month in which a 76-year-old man was injured. He died on February 2.

About 7pm on January 26, a Mong Kok-bound private car stopped in the second lane outside 216 Castle Peak Road. As it reversed into the first lane of the same road, it reportedly knocked down the man who was crossing the road.

The man was sent to Caritas Medical Centre, and later transferred to Princess Margaret Hospital where he was certified dead at 11pm on February 2.

Anyone who saw the accident or has any information should call 2773 5258 or 2773 5220.
