They were arrested for various offences including possession of dangerous drugs, illegal gambling, assault, claiming to be members of triads, offences under the Dutiable Commodities Ordinance and Copyright Ordinance, possession of an obscene article for the purpose of publication, breach of conditions of stay and attempted obtaining of property by deception.

A total of 800 litres of illicit oil, 2,000 obscene optical discs and pirated game discs, a small quantity of suspected dangerous drugs, 9,400 grams of fake gold ornaments, some cash and gambling paraphernalia were seized during the operation.
