Gov't to offer help to Ching Cheong's family
*

The Beijing Higher People's Court has rejected  journalist Ching Cheong's appeal against his conviction for spying, Secretary for Security Ambrose Lee says. He added the Government is concerned about the case and will do everything it can under the "One country, two systems" principle to assist Mr Ching's family.

Speaking to the media today, Mr Lee said the Hong Kong Government will continue to keep in touch with Mr Ching's family to render every practicable assistance in accordance with their wishes.

The Administration will also convey their requests to the Central Government, he said.
