Seniors urged to apply for smart ID card
*
Immigration Department

Senior citizens born between 1928 and 1932 are urged to apply for smart ID cards starting today, up to December 23, the Immigration Department says.

Under the 22nd phase of the ID card replacement exercise, permanent residents and temporary residents in the above age groups must comply with the replacement programme.

The seniors' relatives or friends are encouraged to accompany them when they apply for the new ID card.

To save travelling time, the aged applicants can authorise a representative aged 18 or above to collect the new ID card on their behalf.
