Pork seller closed for breaching licence

*
Food & Environmental Hygiene Department

The Food & Environmental Hygiene Department will cancel the licence of a fresh provision shop in Choi Yuen Estate, Sheung Shui, as the operator has been selling chilled pork as fresh pork.

Department officers inspected Stall No.1, podium level, Choi Yuen Commercial Complex today and seized 43kg of chilled pork.

The operator also breached the Food Business Regulation as the shop, with a licence permitting only the sale of frozen meat, has been selling chilled pork. The department will take follow-up action.

Anyone suspicious of the meat being sold at retail outlets should call 2868 0000.
