A 27-year-old man was killed and a 22-year-old man injured in a Tseung Kwan O crash in which a motorcycle rammed into a lamppost near Clear Water Bay Second Beach while a motorbike following it hit a kerb on the roadside.

Shortly after 2.20am, the 27-year-old was driving his motorcycle along Tai Au Mun Road towards Kowloon. Near Clear Water Bay Second Beach, the bike cut across the opposite lane and rammed into a lamppost.

The motorcyclist behind him also lost control of his vehicle, which cut across the opposite lane and hit a kerb.

The two men were rushed to Tseung Kwan O Hospital where the older man was certified dead at 2.48am.
