The District Court has jailed a 43-year-old man two years for using fake banknotes.
Police arrested him outside a shop on Bute Street, Mong Kok, on July 3. A $500 note, five $100 notes, six $50 notes and two $20 notes, all fake, were found on him.
The man used the notes to buy goods from nearby hawkers and another shop.
He was charged with four counts of passing, and one of holding, counterfeit notes.
