The Independent Commission Against Corruption has rejected allegations published in the media recently, which have accused it of using improper tactics.

In a statement issued today, the ICAC said it adheres to the law in conducting its investigations and respects the legal rights of those involved in the inquiries.

It said some newspapers in their reports on the recent suicide of a policeman, carried unfounded and very serious allegations against the ICAC, particularly a claim that it used improper tactics to threaten people involved in its investigations.

It said allegation has been fabricated.
