A 68-year-old man has been jailed 18 months by Sha Tin Magistracy for possessing three false British passports.

In May, the defendant was intercepted by a Customs officer at Hong Kong International Airport. The passports bearing other people's particulars and photos were found in his bag.

He admitted he brought the bag from London to Hong Kong. Forensic examination and verification with the British Consulate revealed that the passports were forgeries.
