MPF payment orders issued

*
 Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority

The District Court has ordered Dickson Construction Company, Dickson Construction (Maintenance) and Dickson Design Services to pay a total of $820,000, being mandatory contributions in arrears and surcharges payable to 304 staff.

Meanwhile, Focus Roller Shutter's director Ho Ka-cheung was fined $26,000 at Kwun Tong Magistracy after being convicted of 10 counts of failing to make MPF contributions to an employee within the prescribed time between April, 2004, and January, 2005.

The authority also pursued a $22,321 claim in the Small Claims Tribunal on behalf of a Lik Keung Engineering employee, who was owed MPF contributions.

The amounts awarded at the District Court and the tribunal will be reimbursed to the employees' MPF accounts as soon as they are received by the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority.
