ICAC complaints rise
*

The Independent Commission Against Corruption Complaints Committee received 32 complaints containing 106 allegations last year, compared to 21 complaints and 53 allegations in 2004.

About 54% of the allegations were about ICAC officers' misconduct, 35% abuse of power and 11% neglect of duties.

The committee considered investigation reports on 22 complaints. Seven complaints involving eight allegations were found to be substantiated. The ICAC has implemented improvement measures in response to the committee's recommendations.

The committee's annual report was tabled at the Legislative Council today and is available for viewing at the ICAC's Regional Offices, or this website.
