Five men, aged 26 to 34, have been jailed for up to 34 months by the District Court for theft and handling stolen goods.

They were members of a syndicate stealing expensive goods from department stores and computer shops in Kowloon and the New Territories.

On February 17, Police arrested seven men and one woman, aged 26 to 54, and recovered a large quantity of stolen goods, including handbags, digital cameras, amplifiers, watches and computer hard-disks, worth over $220,000.
