Police have classified an arson case in which a 37-year-old woman was killed in Sham Shui Po this morning, as murder.

About 9.20am Police received a report of smoke from a flat on Cheung Sha Wan Road. Firemen found the woman lying unconscious on a bed in the flat, after extinguishing the blaze. She was sent to Kwong Wah Hospital and certified dead at 10.10am. A post-mortem examination is pending.

Fire officers said the blaze was suspicious.
