Bogus bags: Customs officers have arrested two women attempting to send $60,000 worth fake leather goods overseas.
*

Customs officers have arrested a domestic helper, 35, and her employer, 45, at Tsim Sha Tsui Post Office and seized 200 fake leather goods in a parcel.

They have been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Also yesterday the officers searched a mini storage space rented under the employer's name and found another 200 fake leather goods.

The operations follow the interception and seizure of two outbound consignments destined for the UK at the Hong Kong International Airport, which contained 190 fake leather goods on May 13 and June 3.

Investigations have found the employer instructed the domestic helper to send the counterfeit goods overseas, using Speed Post boxes.
