Mainland hands over murder suspect
*
Hong Kong Police

Mainland Public Security officers returned a 44-year-old man wanted in connection with a murder case in 1997 to the Hong Kong Police on Tuesday.

Police investigations revealed the suspect had had a dispute with his wife on December 17, 1997. She was later found dead inside a flat at No. 112-118 Sha Tsui Road in Tsuen Wan.

The Mainland Public Security officers located the suspect in Lo Wu on April 10 this year and returned him to Hong Kong Police yesterday through Huanggang Boundary Control Point.

He is being detained by Tsuen Wan District Crime Squad for further enquiries.
