A 21-year-old woman and 20-year-old man have been jailed two years by the District Court for custody or control of counterfeit banknotes.

Police conducted an intelligence-led operation targeting counterfeiting activities at Lo Wu on October 4 and intercepted the two-way permit holders at the boundary checkpoint, finding 101 counterfeit $500 banknotes in their possession.

They pleaded guilty to custody or control of counterfeit banknotes.
