218 tickets issued in traffic-day blitz

Hong Kong Police

Police have issued 218 tickets and 130 summonses to traffic offenders in Kowloon East. Another 147 tickets were issued for illegal parking and other parking offences.

 

Kowloon East Regional Traffic Day, from 7am to 11pm yesterday, saw 199 officers man accident blacksites in the region.

 

Warnings were issued to 68 pedestrians and 106 drivers for minor traffic offences and road safety pamphlets were also distributed.

 

The region saw 484 traffic accidents in the first quarter.
