3 wanted for investment fraud

Two Indonesians and a Malaysian are wanted for swindling US$880,000 from a 57-year-old Burmese man and a 37-year-old Singaporean man in an investment fraud case.

The two victims met the three men in Myanmar in April 2004. They decided to set up a company in Hong Kong to find investment opportunities in Asia.

Wanted: Two Indonesians and a Malaysian, surnamed Lie, Sia and Cheng, are wanted for swindling US$880,000 in an investment fraud.

The victims later handed over the money in an Aberdeen hotel in November 2004. However, they have since lost contact with the culprits and the case was reported to Police last August.

The wanted men, aged between 30 and 60, are about 1.5 to 1.6 metres tall and have short hair. All speak Putonghua.

Anyone who might have information should contact Police on 2860 5012.
