Three Mainlanders have been arrested after Customs officers seized 40,000 litres of unmanifested marked oil worth about $200,000.
About 5.30pm yesterday, officers intercepted a local fishing vessel off Fan Lau, Lantau Island. The vessel had frequently refuelled in the area in the previous two days. The officers uncovered the unmanifested marked oil in an enlarged fuel tank.
The captain and two crewmen, aged 30 to 35, will appear in Tsuen Wan Magistracy tomorrow.
