HK, Thailand Customs heads
Anti-crime pact: Commissioner of Customs & Excise Timothy Tong and Thai Customs Director-General Dr Sathit Limpongpan sign the Customs Co-operative Arrangement.

Hong Kong and Thai customs authorities have agreed to strengthen co-operation in fighting transnational crime.

 

Commissioner of Customs & Excise Timothy Tong and Thai Customs Director-General Dr Sathit Limpongpan signed the document today.

 

The arrangement marks the will and commitment of both administrations to fight against smuggling and drug trafficking, and protect intellectual property rights.

 

Hong Kong has so far signed similar agreements with the Mainland, New Zealand, Australia, the UK, the US, France, Belgium, Canada, India and South Korea.
