The High Court has sentenced a 20-year-old man to 11 years' jail for trafficking in dangerous drugs with a market value of $290,000.

Following extensive investigations, Narcotics Bureau officers searched the man's home at 21 Mau Lam Street in Yau Ma Tei on June 30 last year. They found a mixture containing 571 grams of heroin and some packaging paraphernalia. The man was arrested and charged with trafficking in dangerous drugs.

He pleaded guilty at the Eastern Magistrates' Courts on December 9.
